OUR STORY
Love and Squalor NYC is the creation of pet portrait artist turned designer, Shasta Molnar.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved vintage clothing. It seemed to me to be such a waste to have it all stowed away somewhere out of sight and out of use — just because the style no longer suit the fashion! Naturally I have pieces I would never touch with a pair of scissors — and others that are just begging to be refashioned into fabulous little dog coats!”
Shasta Molnar is also a contemporary oil painter who enjoys translating the human experience through the lives and expressions of cats and dogs. Shasta has been living in NYC since 2002 and is currently working on the development of her first art show, “The Tale that Wags the Dog” in addition to Love and Squalor NYC.
